I mean, I shouldn’t be surprised really. I know there are certain politicians who are chomping at the bit to criminalize Adult Content (both those who make and consume it). Because, of course, of their ‘beliefs’. 🙄

Anyhow….just logged into the Clips4Sale admin to see a message letting creators know that, due to a new law in Alabama (House Bill 164), both creators and customers in Alabama will no longer be able to access Clips4sale.

I’ll just copy and paste this bit:

“Due to a newly enacted law in Alabama (House Bill 164), adult platforms are now required to meet additional compliance requirements, including new notarized consent requirements for performers. After careful review, we’ve determined that we must restrict access to Clips4Sale for users in Alabama at this time.

This decision was not made lightly. Our goal is to remain compliant with state regulations while continuing to protect creators, performers, and the long-term stability of the platform.”

These laws are always under of the guise of ‘protecting minors’, but that’s never what this was or is about…..
